Who does the work

Who does the work? Is Orlando Electricians a contractor?

A licensed electrician does the work. You get matched with an independent licensed contractor, who quotes the job, does it, and handles permits, insurance and any warranty, so ask what comes with your job before it starts. Orlando Electricians is not a contractor. It is a marketing and booking service run by Einstein Technologies LLC.

Do I find out who is coming?

Yes. You get the contractor's name when we arrange your visit.

How do I check an electrician's license?

Search by name or license number on the Florida DBPR Verify a Licensee page. Our license guide shows what to look for.

Who pulls the permit?

Normally the licensed electrician. The typical prices for panel upgrades and EV chargers include the standard electrical permit. In the City of Orlando, an EV charger also needs an engineering permit and sealed plans, which your electrician quotes. See do I need an electrical permit?

Prices

How much does electrical work cost in Orlando?

Typical Orlando prices are $1,500–$4,500 for a panel upgrade, $800–$2,500 for an EV charger, $300–$950 for three light fixtures, $150–$350 for a ceiling fan, $150–$500 for a repair visit and $200–$600 for three outlets or switches.

Does it cost anything to see a price?

No. Tell us the job and your estimate shows on screen.

Where do the typical prices come from?

From what Orlando-area electricians publish and what the big cost guides report. The cost guides show the sources.

What if the quote is higher than the typical price?

The typical price is the usual range, and some jobs come in above it. The electrician tells you the final price before work starts. You decide whether to go ahead.

Why is there a minimum charge for small jobs?

Small jobs have a visit minimum, so add anything else you need done while your electrician's there. Grouping small jobs into one visit is the cheapest way to get them done.

Booking

How does booking work?

Tell us the job, your city and how to reach you, then see the typical price. We contact you to arrange a time.

Can I send photos of the problem?

Yes. Add up to three when you describe the job. A photo of the panel label or the dead outlet helps.

Who sees my contact details?

We use them to arrange your job, and share them with the contractor who may do the work. The privacy notice has the full list.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Call or text (305) 859-1478.

Can I book commercial work?

Yes, quoted after someone looks at the job. See commercial electrical.

Safety

Is this an emergency service?

No. If there is any sign of fire, including sparks or burning with smoke or flame, or anyone is hurt, get out and call 911. With sparks or a burning smell and no sign of fire, stop using that circuit and call or text us rather than using the form. If the power is out, call your utility first.

My breaker keeps tripping. What do I do?

Stop resetting it and find out why. Start with what to do when a breaker trips. If you smell burning, leave it off.

How do I know if my panel is dangerous?

Heat, scorch marks, buzzing, rust or water are the warning signs. Read is my electrical panel dangerous? and keep the panel cover on.
